Itinerary

We start with an easy trek from Chilamdhar to Paton which is the first village on our route. Overnight stay n tents.

On the way from Paton to Lungarini the valley separates. We would take the right descend Ralam Gad through dense forest, steep climbs and steep descends. Overnight stay in tents.

This will be a challenging day with an altitude gain of 1000m. At Killadum the valley opens in the meadows of Ralam Gad with cold winds.

Ralam is the last village on this trek. People here migrate to lower villages during winters. The snowpeaks peeking through the landscape makes it a lovely riverside campsite.

Ralam Glacier also known as Sankalp Glacier is the source of Ralam river which later merges with Gori ganga. It is a captivating site with 3 other glaciers meeting.

A steep and tiring climb awaits us on this day. As we reach the top we can see Yangchar Pass along with many snow peaks such as Nanda Bhanar, Kuchela Dhura, and Nand Kot

It would take about 3 hrs of steep climb to reach the summit of Yangchar pass which appears more like a flat wall. From the top of the pass we will see the splendid view of peaks such as Nanada Devi, Chiring We, Burphu dhura, Suli top and Nand Kot amongst others. From here we descend to Yangchar Glacier and again take a steep ascent to reach Ralam Dhura base camp. Magnificent view of Chaudhara, Lachar We and Ralam Dhura Pass is available from the campsite.

We will go through ridge gully, boulders, knife edge rocks and extreme vertical climb for about 4 hrs to the summit of Ralam Dhura. From here the 10km descent to Nipchukang Glacier starts. We reach the campsite by evening and pith our tents.

This is an easy day. We cross the Nipchukang valley and enter the confluence of Lassar Yankti and Darma valleys to continue towards Marchha. We walk through pin forests to reach Dantu village by the evening and have glimpse of the Panchachuli range.

Trek upto Nagling and drive to Munsiyari. Trip ends

Note: Keep 2-3 extra days to cater for acclimatisation and weather conditions
