This is one of the most difficult and challenging high altitude treks in Garhwal & Kuamon region, almost all trails cross high passes, morain and bolder areas. The trek starts from Malari in Garhwal region and ends at Milam Village after crossing high passes and glaciers. High pitch glaciers are to be crossed at Chudang. Most of this trek route passes through moraines and boulders and gives panoramic view of snow capped peaks, enchanting glaciers and springs with small crystal clear lakes. Ancient villages and temples form an important part of this trek. This trek requires special permits from the Garhwal as well Kumaon Divisions.
Rishikesh to Joshimath. 8- 10hours drive
Malari is a tiny old Himalayan village with old wooden houses of unique architecture and slate roofing surrounded by steep snow- covered mountains. Overnight stay in tents/ homestay.
A long and exhausting day to Sumna which is the last village on India- Tibet border. Overnight stay in tents.

Trek over Milam Glacier to Milam village. Trek 6/7 hours. Camp overnight
A few kilometers walk from Milam village leads to Burfu and then cross the river and walk for another hour to reach Martoli from where ruins of Reilkot village can be seen. The route to Reilkot is a steep descent from Martoli.
Walk through mule bridges and granite rock faces to Bogudiyar via Lapsa village and then gradual up and down trails lead to Lilam village
Trek for forests and meadows from Lilam. The trail goes along the gushing Goriganga river in last stretch of a few kilometers.
