If possible try to reach Rishikesha day before the trip starts. That also gives you enough time to relax and to prepare for the trek. Meet the team in the evening and the trek leader will brief you about the trek.

We will start from Rishikesh at about 7am. Most part of the journey will be along the river Bhagirathi. We will cross Uttarkashi on the way and reach Natin through beautiful forest stretches. Our trek starts early in the morning after breakfast. The trail is gradually ascending and goes through forests of green and brown oaks, no pine trees here though. Preferably carry 2 liters of water for the day. We reach Gui by lunch time. The campsite is surrounded by forest and there are some huts that are used by the local villagers during summers. Explore the area around after lunch. Overnight stay in tents.

This will be a relatively smaller day. A short hike through the oak forest would take us to Chilpada which is a clearing with a flowing stream passing through it. Have lunch and take a stroll around and observe the shades of sky and reflection of the setting sun on the peaks of DraupadikaDAndaI,II, Bandarpoonch, Srikanth and Jaonlivisible from here.Come back to your tents before it gets dark, have dinner and retire for the day. Rest well for a considerably long trek the following day.Overnight stay at Chilpada in tents.

We start early morning to climb to the Dayara top. This will be an ascent of about 3 hrs. itwill initially pass through forest and then open up to vast meadows which are green with patches of tiny flowers in summers and covered with fresh snow in winters. The Final ascent to the top would be a little steep and could be little tiring. However once on the top with the closer and clearer view of the peaks you would forget all about the physical strain. The peaks of Bandarpunch (6350 m), Jaonli (6600 mtrs), Srikanth( 6133 m), DraupadikaDanda (6420 m) Gangotri I(6672 m),II (6590 m), Rudragaira (5500 m) form a majestic arch making the view enthralling. We will spend some time here soaking in the moments capturing the views. Having satiated our mind and soul we will start our journey back to Chilpada. At Chilpada we will have our lunch and wind up to start our descent toBarnalacampsite which will take about 2 hrs. Overnight stay at Barnala

We will pack-up after breakfast and take an easy descent to Barsu. This is the day when you can see the life of people in the villages of Uttarakhand. Go out and interact with the warm people smiling faces and get to understand their customs and culture. Overnight stay at guesthouse/ homestay
